Barge, governor disagree over Race to the Top appointment

Gov. Nathan Deal and state School Superintendent John Barge (EdD ’04), who have disagreed over the charter schools constitutional amendment are now butting heads over a key appointment to oversee the $400 million Race to the Top federal education grant program, reports at story in the October 31 Atlanta Journal Constitution. Barge earned his doctorate in educational leadership from UGA.
