Williams named East Jackson Middle School Teacher of Year

University of Georgia College of Education alumna Brooke Williams was recently named Teacher of the Year at East Jackson Middle School in Jackson County.
Williams (BSEd ’08), of Athens, is in her fifth year of teaching 8th grade language arts at the school. She earned her bachelor’s degree in middle grades education and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
She is currently seeking her master’s in English Education at UGA and expects to graduate in spring 2014. Williams is the daughter of Phillip L. Williams, dean of UGA’s College of Public Health, and Theda M. Williams.
