Hillary Steiner, a former part-time lecturer in the University of Georgia College of Education has received an Adjunct Faculty Teaching Excellence Award from a division of the American Psychological Association.
Steiner (MA ’00, PhD ’03), who was a part-time faculty member in the department of educational psychology and instructional technology from 2006-12, was recognized for her work by the Society for the Teaching of Psychology (Division II) with a plaque and a check for $1,500 at the APA’s annual convention Aug. 2-5 in Orlando, Fla.
Steiner, who earned her master’s and doctorate in educational psychology at UGA, starts a new position this fall in the department of first-year programs at Kennesaw State University where she will be teaching and advising freshmen students.
