Lembeck named Cobb Citizen of the Year for 2011.
Emily Lembeck (EdD ’95), superintendent of Marietta City Schools since 2005, was named the Marietta Daily Journal’s Cobb Citizen of the Year for 2011, the Marietta Daily Journal reported Jan. 29. The award is handed out at the annual banquet of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce.
Lembeck, who received her doctorate in educational leadership from UGA, was recently named the 2012 Georgia Superintendent of the Year by the Georgia School Superintendents Association.
