College of Education graduate student Christa Porter was recently honored with a Medallion of Excellence from the University of Georgia Multicultural Services Program.
Porter, a second-year doctoral student in the college student affairs administration program, was recognized for her commitment to diversity, inclusion and multicultural education at the weekly Coffee Hour program, sponsored by the International Student Life Office.
Porter, who is a graduate teaching assistant with UGA’s Career Center, also serves as president of the UGA Graduate and Professional Scholars organization.
She received her master’s degree in higher education administration at the University of Maryland and her bachelor’s in Social Relations was received at Michigan State University in 2004.
