Two College of Education students — Dana Bryant and Ryan Carty — were among six UGA students who received graduate scholarships at the ninth annual Black Faculty and Staff Organization’s Founders Award Scholarship Luncheon.
Bryant is a second master’s student in communication sciences and disorders. Carty is a first-year master’s student in the professional school counseling . Each earned $750 toward completing their education at UGA.
The Founders Award Scholarship Luncheon began in 2002 as a means to provide scholarships to African-American students at UGA. Funds for the scholarships come from tickets sales, which are sold through BFSO.
