Jacqueline Shoemaker, a first-grade teacher at Oconee County Primary School and a doctoral student in elementary education, is one of five recipients of the PAGE Professional Scholarships.
The $1,000 scholarships, sponsored by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators, are awarded to PAGE members pursuing advanced degrees in education.
Shoemaker, a resident of Watkinsville, received her bachelor’s, master’s and education specialist degrees from Georgia State University. A native of Singapore, Shoemaker moved to the United States in 1987. She has been a teacher for 20 years, six of which have been at Oconee Primary.
