NAITTE either sponsors or co-sponsors several publications intended to disseminate research and provide communication for members and constituents. These publications include the following:

The Journal of Industrial Teacher Education (JITE). The JITE has been published since 1963 and is issued four times annually. Published manuscripts are high-quality guest articles, refereed articles, "At Issue" essays, "Comments," reviews of books/media and computer hardware and software in an "Under Review" section, and special feature issues that report scholarly inquiry and commentary broadly related to industrial and technical teacher education, military training, and industrial training. The JITE is sent to all NAITTE members in printed form and issues of the Journal since Fall 1994 are available via the Internet at http://scholar.lib.vt.edu/ejournals/JITE.

The Industrial Teacher Education (ITE) Directory. The Industrial Teacher Education (ITE) Directory has been co-sponsored by NAITTE since 1956. Working in concert with the Council on Technology Teacher Education (CTTE) and with significant support from the Goodheart-Wilcox Company, the Directory has been produced as a service to the profession. The ITE Directory has been a valuable resource for teacher educators and other professionals related to industrial and technical teacher education for over forty years.

Complimentary copies of the ITE Directory are made available to all personnel listed in the directory. Directories are now being produced in electronic form and distributed to members as a pdf file. Members who have received password information can click here to access their copy of the directory. Please contact one of the NAITTE officers if you need assistance accessing the directory.

The News and Views Newsletter. This publication has been a vehicle for communication among NAITTE members since 1979. It is presently scheduled for quarterly publication and is distributed to members electronically as an email attachment and also available on the NAITTE Web site.

NAITTE World Wide Web Site. This Web site, located at www.coe.uga.edu/naitte, provides numerous online resources for NAITTE members. The site is maintained at the University of Georgia College of Education in Athens, GA.

T & I Standards. In 1995, the NAITTE Research Subcommittee on Standards of Quality for the Preparation of the Certification of Trade and Industrial Education Teachers developed a comprehensive set of standards to guide the profession. The document provided here represents their work to guide the profession in maintaining quality preparation of skilled trades professionals. Click here to view a copy of the standards.

Conference Presentations. Each year NAITTE members have opportunities to present findings from their current research, project activities, and professional development materials as a part of the NAITTE program of work at the annual ACTE Convention.
