Stanley Scholarship Information

Rose Sanders Stanley Memorial Scholarship for Prospective Secondary School Mathematics Teachers

The Rose Sanders Stanley Memorial scholarship was created by the late Dr. Julian Stanley in honor of his wife, who was a high school mathematics teacher. The scholarship is awarded annually to a prospective secondary mathematics teacher (undergraduate or graduate student) who demonstrates both financial need and strong academic performance. The award will be given for the semester during which the recipient is student teaching.

Students (both undergraduate and graduate) seeking initial certification who will student teach in the next academic semester (fall or spring) are eligible for consideration for the scholarship. (Note: Graduate students who are supported on an assistantship are NOT eligible for the Stanley Scholarship.)

To apply, download the application below and submit a completed, typed application to the receptionist in Aderhold 105 or by email to mse@uga.edu by October 1 for those who will be student teaching in spring semester March 1 for those who will be student teaching in fall semester
