My research focuses on understanding how to prepare elementary and middle level science teachers to make connections between science and mathematics and to teach science in ways that acknowledge and reflect students' diversity. While experienced in conducting and reporting large-scale quantitative and qualitative studies, I also am drawn to conducting and reporting practitioner research studies of my own university teaching practice.
