Information for New Members

Membership options:

National membership - Free for first-year student chapter members, $32 annually thereafter

New members are welcome to join at any time. Dues for membership in the University of Georgia NSTA Student Chapter are $5 per year. In addition, NSTA offers a free, one year complimentary membership at the national level to new Student Chapter members. Forms will be available at our meetings or upon request. This national membership includes a subscription (no extra cost) to one of the four journals published by NSTA:

Science and Children (grades K-8)
Science Scope (grades 5-9)
The Science Teacher (grades 7-12)
Journal of College Science Teaching (college)

Membership at the national level is separate from Student Chapter membership and is not required. Dues for continued membership at the national level (beyond the one year complimentary membership) is $32 annually for students. Be sure to provide the president or membership officer with your email address so we can add you to the email listserv. We will announce all upcoming events and send the regular newsletter via the listserv. You can also post messages to the group via the listserv.
