All students must demonstrate competency in a foreign language equivalent to completion of the third semester of study. This requirement may be met by satisfactory scores on a language placement (including AP, SAT II, UGA placement tests, or the TOEFL, if English is not the student's native language) or satisfactory completion of a third semester course at an accredited college or university. American Sign Language courses may be used to satisfy this requirement |

LING 2100 may satisfy either the literature requirement or the Fine Arts/ Philosophy/Religion area, but not both.) |
