Ed.S. in TESOL: Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages

Purpose of the Ed.S.

This program is designed for K-12 teachers who have earned a master's degree in TESOL, applied linguistics, or a related program such as Bilingual Education, Foreign Language Education, Elementary or Middle School Education. The program consists of 10 courses (30 semester hours) beyond the master's program and leads to T-6 Georgia teacher certification. The program should be designed as a logically organized whole in light of previous study. Courses for endorsements in Reading, Gifted Education, or Educational Leadership may be included in the program of study.
