M.Ed. in Foreign Language Education

The program is designed for students who want advanced professional preparation and study in teaching foreign or additional languages to children, adolescents, or adults in the U.S. or abroad. A wide range of program offerings and electives accommodates student needs and interests.

Please note: This program does NOT provide initial certification to teach foreign languages in U.S. public schools. If you are seeking initial certification to teach in Georgia K-12 schools, please see information on the "MED Plus Certification" program.

The program consists of 36 credit hours or 12 courses in Teaching methods, Second language acquisition, Cultural awareness, Bilingualism, Research methods, and target language study.
