TWLE offers the following degrees, programs, and specialization options:
TESOL [Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages] and World Language Education (TWLE) offers an exciting array of course and degree options for those interested in the teaching and learning in and through more than one language. Students will learn about the complexity of issues related to language acquisition and development, communication among people from diverse backgrounds, language and education policies nationally and internationally, instruction of language minority students, and the relationship between language pedagogy and social justice.

- Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) in Language and Literacy Education

World Language Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S.Ed.) in World Language Education with K12 teacher certification
- Master of Education (M.Ed.) in TESOL and World Language Education
- Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T) in World Language Education and K12 teacher certification
- Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) in Language and Literacy Education

Need TESOL or World Language Assistance?
Graduate students in the TESOL & World Language Education Program are fluent in a variety of world languages and are emerging experts in the teaching and learning of second or additional languages including English to non-native speakers. Many of our students are available to work with members of the greater Athens community on any number of projects related to world languages including translation, tutoring, conversational practice, business assistance and other endeavors.
