Reading Endorsement: This graduate program provides “add-on” certification to work as a reading specialist in Georgia public schools. Please note that all courses for the Reading Endorsement must have been completed after July 1, 2000 when the endorsement went into effect.
ESOL Endorsement: This program provides “add-on” certification to teach English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) grades P-12 in Georgia public schools. The ESOL endorsement program is only valid for educators who have or will hold a teaching credential in another subject area (e.g., elementary education, mathematics, Spanish), a speech and language pathology professional certificate, or school counseling credential. The program consists of three courses offered at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Please note: ESOL endorsement courses are in high demand and may fill quickly. When applying, remember that registration for summer and fall semester courses begins approximately April 1 and registration for spring semester courses begins approximately October 15. Courses are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
