LIR presents an opportunity for continued learning on a non-credit basis – no exams, papers, or grades. In addition to attending structured courses taught by experts in their fields, participants can share their ideas and experiences through an active travel/study program and a variety of social activities. A unique program for seniors, LIR features some of UGA's finest active and retired faculty as instructors through its partnership with Department of Lifelong Education, Administration and Policy; the Institute of Gerontology; and the Institute for Higher Education.
PLEASE NOTE: Current LIR courses, travel/study, and social activities are published in the LIR Newsletter, issued August, October, January, February, April, and May. Registration forms are included with each issue. The Fall Semester (September-December) course descriptions appear in the August newsletter. The Winter/Spring Semester (January-May) courses are described in the January issue of the newsletter. |
