Adult Education

EdD in Adult Education

with specialization foci in
Adult Education Leadership
or Human Resource and Organization Development

A new Ed.D. in Adult Education with two specialization foci, Adult Education Leadership and Human Resource and Organization Development, will begin Summer, 2010 at The University of Georgia Gwinnett Campus.

This program is designed to (1)advance the knowledge and skills of mid-career and senior professionals for leadership careers related to education and change at the individual, group, organization, community, and societal levels, in a variety of settings (educational, non-profit, social profit, government, corporate, etc.). and (2) develop scholar practitioners who can utilize theory/research to enhance their practice as well as contribute to knowledge in the field.

An innovative format of five weekend meetings at the UGA Gwinnett Campus per semester combined with an interactive online curriculum makes this program accessible to working professionals. Classes are held between Friday at noon and all day Saturday on five weekends per semester and the doctoral degree can be achieved in 3 years.
