Educational Administration and Policy
Materials to be Submitted
Step I: Materials to be submitted directly to the Graduate Admissions Office
The standard application package of the University of Georgia requires applicants to the Graduate School to send the following materials directly to the Graduate Admissions Office:
- A completed Application Form.
- Official test score reports. The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is required. For international applicants, the TOEFL is required in addition to the GRE. Additional information is available on the Graduate School Admissions page.
- Official transcripts from colleges and universities attended in the past. Information on submitting transcripts can be found on the Graduate School Admissions page.
Step II: Materials to be submitted directly to the Program in Educational Administration and Policy
Additional Materials for Ed.D. Applicants:
- A current resume or curriculum vitae
- A second set of official transcripts. The second set of all official transcripts from all institutions attended should be sent in a sealed envelope to the address listed below.
- References.
- The names and e-mail addresses of recommenders who are familiar with the applicant’s professional and/or academic work should be listed in the Graduate School application by the applicant. Recommenders will receive a link to access a secure page in order to submit the recommendation via the Web.
- Applicants must secure at least one formal recommendation from a former professor who has familiarity with academic qualifications needed to sustain the rigors of the Ed.D. The faculty in the Program in Educational Administration and Policy will not provide letters of recommendation to applicants for the Ed.D.
- In addition to the electronic recommendations, the applicant is required to secure three external letters from the recommenders that speak to the applicant’s ability to complete doctoral work. The recommenders should mail the recommendation letters directly to the department at the address listed below.
- Statement of Purpose. A 3 to 5 page statement of purpose that links current and past professional and/or academic experience to future research interests and goals in the area of educational leadership.
All of the above materials should be sent to:
