Ed.D. in Adult Education

with specializations in
Adult Education Leadership
or Human Resource and Organization Development

A new Ed.D. in Adult Education with two foci, Adult Education Leadership and Human Resource and Organization Development, will begin Summer, 2012 at The University of Georgia Gwinnett Center.

This program is designed to (1) advance the knowledge and skills of mid-career and senior professionals for leadership careers related to education and change at the individual, group, organization, community, and societal levels, in a variety of settings (corporate, educational, non-profit, social profit, government, etc.). and (2) develop scholar practitioners who can use theory/research to enhance their practice and contribute to knowledge in the field.

An innovative format of five weekend meetings at the UGA Gwinnett campus per semester combined with an interactive online curriculum makes this cohort program accessible to working professionals. Classes are held between Friday at noon and all day Saturday on five weekends per semester and it is possible to achieve the doctorate degree in 3-4 years.
