The Master of Education degree is designed for education majors whose career objectives require preparation for teaching or administration in business and industry, hospital staff development, community development, and organization development. The emphasis of the M.Ed. curriculum is practical because graduates are most often employed in positions with an applied focus. The M.Ed. in Human Resource and Organizational Development (HROD) provides students with an opportunity to gain knowledge and skills focusing on learning within the work environment, career development, organization development, group facilitation, globalization, and workplace educational technology. Because of the interdisciplinary nature of this degree, students are encouraged to take courses from several departments.

The Educational Administration and Policy Program Area offer degrees that respond to the changing context of educational leadership preparation, school reform, and education policy making. To better serve the university community, the program joined the Department of Lifelong Education, Administration, and Policy in 2005. We are currently at work on a doctoral degree in qualitative research, on a certificate program for postgraduates, and on distance education offerings.
