Program Goals
The intent of this one month program is to provide students in diverse programs at the University of Georgia, and beyond, oppor-tunities for international and multicultural experiences through immersion in Kenya's world renowned cultures and environments with excursions to Tanzania and Uganda..
The program encourages independent research study and projects in an area of your interest.
Participants will be able to:

Discover Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda's environmental diversity as exemplified by their flora, fauna, cultures, and physical geography through course work.

Develop cross cultural communication skills.

Work with Kenyan & UGA professors in an independent study/research project of your design and interest. The project should be related to your academic field or it may involve teaching in your field.

Develop an in-depth understanding of Kenya in an area of special interest through a field-based experience.

Develop an understanding of ethnic and linguistic diversity.

Appreciate the cultural differences existing within Kenya.
