Graduate students who plan a career in teaching physical education Financial award based on need One Month Prior to Any Semester
Clifford Gray Lewis Travel Financial Assistance Award Full-time Kinesiology graduate students in good academic standing in at least their second year of graduate study who plan a career in teaching physical education Financial award up to $250/meeting based on need

Soule Award

Graduate students in the Department of Kinesiology with a research interest in girls and/or women’s health, physical activity and/or sport and minimum  3.65 graduate GPA

Plaque resented at the Kinesiology Awards Banquet;$1,000 award for a master’s degree student and 12-month, one-half time graduate research assistantship for doctoral students

Graduate Research Assistantship Stipend

Doctoral students in the Department of Kinesiology and in the Recreation and Leisure Studies Program of the Department of Counseling and Human Development Services with at least one summer of their academic program remaining

$2,000 for a Graduate Research Assistanthip stipend (summer stipend or supplement to academic year assistantship appointment) March 1

Ann E. Jewett Distinguished Graduate Assistantship



 

Graduate students in the Department of Kinesiology who have undergraduate and graduate GPAs of 3.5 or higher; plan a career in physical education curriculum and instruction for K-12 or higher education and/or administration; demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching, research or service in the field of physical education curriculum and instruction. Plaque resented at the Kinesiology Awards Banquet; a 9-month, one-half time graduate assistantship involving 1/3 time teaching and 1/6 time research March 1
