Sport Studies Programs

Description of the Program

The M.A., Ed.D. and Ph.D. programs in sport studies are designed to provide the candidate with an interdisciplinary study of sport.  The M.A. in sport studies will qualify candidates to continue their research agenda in a sport studies doctoral program.  There are also opportunities for qualified candidates to gain employment in non-traditional sport settings: private and community-based sport programs, or academic support units for athletics.  The Ed.D. and Ph.D. programs degrees serve those who aspire to become teacher educators and researchers in sport studies.
