Pre-Graduate Study in Exercise Physiology

metabolThis program option is designed to provide the background in the physical and biological sciences required for additional graduate or professional study related to the physiological responses and adaptations to acute and chronic physical activity. No practicum or internship experience is required. Students who plan to apply to medical school are responsible for selecting courses that meet specific medical school entrance requirements.

Individuals with a masters or doctoral degree in exercise physiology may qualify for careers in allied health occupations, adult fitness/wellness, sport science and coaching, teaching and research. Positions for exercise physiologists are available in higher education, government, the military services, athletic associations and private enterprise.
