Pre-Graduate Study in Biomechanics

biomechThis program option provides the background required for additional graduate or professional study in biomechanics, sports medicine, health-related and bioengineering-related fields. Biomechanics is the application of mechanical principles of physics and engineering to human movement problems. Individuals who are interested in analyzing performance of athletes, industrial workers and patients in rehabilitation situations or in evaluating sports and fitness equipment should consider biomechanics.

Upon completion of the bachelor's degree, it is possible to find employment. However, many more opportunities in clinical, industrial or athletic performance settings exist with an advanced degree. The field is growing at a rapid rate and has potential for applications in many career areas. No practicum or internship experience is required.
