Professional Program Specializations (M.S. Nonthesis)

Requirements for the M.S.-nonthesis

The M.S.-nonthesis in Kinesiology is a professional program designed
to provide advanced training in specialized areas of kinesiology for
students who do not plan to conduct research as part of their career and
do not plan to continue for a Ph.D. Students who plan to complete a
Ph.D. should complete an M.S. program requiring a thesis. Requirements
for the M.S. degree are provided in the Graduate School Bulletin. For
the non-thesis option, a thesis is not required; additional course work
is taken instead. A minimum of 36 (instead of 30) semester hours of
course work is required for the M.S.-nonthesis.
