McCully uses light to measure muscle energy metabolism. 
Dr. Russell Pate presented the 2012 Kinesiology Ramsey Lecture titled, “Policies for Promotion of Physical Activity and Obesity Prevention in Youth” on March 28.
The 2012 Global Educational Forum on Culture, Research and Teaching created by Kinesiology professor Rose Chepyator-Thomson will be on April 5 in the Tate Student Center, Grand Hall A, B and C. 
Beginning in the summer of 2012, the the UGA Kinesiology Department will offer an M.S.-nonthesis with a specialization in sport management and policy at the UGA Gwinnett Campus. 
The doctoral program in Exercise Science in the Department of Kinesiology has been ranked among the top 12 in the country by the National Research Council.
