Videoconferencing

What is it?

A videoconference (also known as a videoteleconference) is an interactive meeting between two or more locations that allows attendants to see and hear video or presentations from each other without having to gather in a common location. This meeting is made possible through interactive telecommunication technologies which allow two or more locations to simultaneously interact via two-way video and audio transmissions.

In videoconferencing technology, two or more people at different locations can see and hear each other at the same time, sometimes even sharing computer applications for collaboration.

Videoconferencing differs from other forms of video production because its primary focus is facilitating communication between two or more groups rather than producing and distributing content asynchronously.
