Visual Presenter (ELMO)

What are they?

A visual presenter is a device that includes a mounted camera and usually some form of foreground and background lighting to capture non-transparent 2D or 3D objects (including printed or handwritten text) for display on television or computer equipment.

ELMO Visual Presenters
http://www.visualedtech.com/elmo/visual_presenters_description.htm

A visual presenter is a device that captures visual images by using a video camera mounted vertically on a base. The video image is then converted to an electronic signal that can be transmitted, using a video cable, to a data projector, a video monitor, a computer, or a communications network to be received at a remote location.

Each visual presenter is designed to meet certain needs; portability, high visual resolution, and flexible audio-visual connections. (input and output)

The visual presenter can act as a connection and switching device for a computer "Power Point" presentation, a video tape player, DVD or CD players as well as the actual visual images that the built in camera captures.

The visual presenter provides a new level of visual communication in virtually any scholarly, legal or business endeavor. It is an extremely versatile tool for audio and video integration and presentations.
