DVD Players

What are they?

A DVD player is a device for playing video DVDs. Most hardware DVD players have to be connected to a television set; there are also some small portable devices which have an LCD screen attached”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD_player

A device used to retrieve video, audio, or computer files off of a DVD disk. There are many forms of DVD players. Most home and portable DVD players are limited to playing films, audio, and photographic disks. Those bundled as part of a computer will also read computer files burned onto the DVD (see DVD Recorder for additional information).

Video DVDs are region specific but some players allow you to alter the region code or are code free (playing any region of DVD).
