What’s My Interest?
Grade: 3-5
Description: In this EconEdLink lesson, students learn about interest and how and why banks pay it. They learn about the benefits of saving money. They think about a future career, find out how much it would pay, and figure out how much interest they can earn on that amount.  This lesson incorporates a student handout, an interactive interest calculator, and links to a variety of Web resources.

Description: Using free programs for TI Graphing calculators, students will learn how to plot points on a coordinate plane.

Show Me the Money: A Lesson on the Unforeseen Cost of Car and House Loans
Grade: 9-12
Description: Students will investigate unforeseen costs of car loans and/or house loans. They will then evaluate the economics of decision making, the ramifications of their choices, and options available to them. Students will compute costs and savings for a car and/or house loan with or without added insurance costs.

Dirt Bike Dilemma
Grade: 9-12
Description: This lesson helps students understand linear programming by walking them through the process using a free program for TI graphing calculators. Students will explain what happens and internalize the skills necessary to solve linear programming problems.
