AlphaSmart Keyboards

Why use them in the classroom?  What value do they bring to the classroom?

With AlphaSmart keyboards, an entire classroom of students can write or take notes and practice keyboarding.  Later, the students can transfer their files into any application on any computer or print to most printers. Transferring text is simple - launch any application on your Macintosh or PC, connect the AlphaSmart using the cable and hit the "send" key. When using the infrared transfer, simply point the AlphaSmart towards the IR transceiver and hit the "send" key. Or, connect the printer cable and press the "print" key to print directly to a printer.
