They are working under the direction of Phil Chase, director of the Department of Counseling and Human Development Services. Training OpportunitiesOne of the major goals of Barrier Busters is to maximize the opportunities for everyone who wants to know more about advocacy. Throughout the year we will be notifying you of various opportunities for you to participate in educational programs designed especially for citizens with disabilities and their families. There are some funds available to us that can cover transportation costs to attend training functions out of town, and other events have their own scholarships and funding resources included as part of the recruitment package. We will also be planning some events locally that will be beneficial to you.
