Orientation
In the overview, you are learning about the overall components for taking this course. You will read about and practice the nuts and bolts of using your computer to assess information. Each unit in the course consists of reading information found in the links on the left side of the pages, utilizing information found in other links, and completing activities outlined under assignments found in links at the top of the page. Often these assignments will require you to describe activities you have completed or will complete to assist a consumer with whom you are working. You also may be presented with a scenario and asked to respond to it utilizing information contained within the course unit.
-
Each week's readings and activities are designed to be completed within 2-3 hours. Because you may receive e-mail assignments or questions from other course members, remember to check your e-mail each time you begin to work on course activities. If you have any questions during the week, please send them to your assigned instructor. Every effort will be made to respond to you, to interact with you, and to encourage and support you in gaining the knowledge and skills you need.
-
Each unit is designed so that when you click on a link it will take you directly to a short section or activity. We hope this will be helpful when you begin working in a unit but must attend to other duties and come back to the unit at a later time.
-
For each unit, read the Dear Job Coach/Employment Specialist letter at the bottom of the page before you read the other sections.
