State Competition News
The Lakeside High School team, taught and coached by Rick Barbe, won the Georgia state finals competition for We The People: The Citizen and the Constitution held at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta on Friday, December 12, 2008. The team will go on to represent Georgia at the National WTP Finals to be held in Washington, DC on April 25-27, 2009. The winning team is pictured below. The State Competition involves senior high school classes who studied the We The People Curriculum and worked with their Congressional District Coordinator to compete for the right to represent Georgia in the National Finals.
