Student Council for Exceptional Children

The Department of Special Education has a student chapter of the Council for Exceptional Children. The Student Council for Exceptional Children (SCEC) is a professional organization which promotes the advancement and education of all individuals with exceptionalities. The local chapter is made up of students and faculty members. All Special Education majors are strongly encouraged to join. By joining the SCEC you will receive the organization's journals, Exceptional Children and Teaching Exceptional Children, and will receive discounts for registration at CEC-sponsored conventions.
