Our Partners

“ …[We] need each other. Whatever we know is not sufficient. We can’t see enough of the whole. We can’t figure it out alone. Somebody sees something that the rest of us might need.”
Margaret Wheatley, Turning to One Another

When we began GSTEP, we knew that our success would depend upon shared purpose and commitment. We needed the participation and collaboration of all individuals and institutions involved – faculty, staff, and students from colleges of arts and sciences and education at Albany State University, The University of Georgia, and Valdosta State University; P-12 faculty and administrators from our partner school districts; and representatives from the Board of Regents, Professional Standards Commission, and Regional Education Service Agencies.

We set out to create unique relationships among our partners that required us to meet together as peers and colleagues. All partners were to be involved in setting goals, making decisions, and taking actions. This initial unifying vision continues to permeate the work of GSTEP today with GSTEP’s accomplishments representing these dynamic partnerships.
