“…the
catalyst for changes in the teaching, learning, culture, and climate
of learning communities in a variety of schools…”
Bambino, D. (2002). Redesigning Professional Development:
Critical Friends. Educational Leadership, 59(6), 25-27.
Critical Friends Groups
(CFGs) are collaborations that help their members think about better
teaching practices, establish and publicly state student learning
goals, look closely at curriculum and student work, and identify
school culture issues that affect student achievement. Designed
by the National School Reform Faculty (NSRF), CFGs give teachers
opportunities to explore their own practice and that of their peers
in supportive environments. Join us this summer as we take another
step forward in supporting professional learning communities in
Georgia schools.
