Schedule & FAQ - FAQ
- May I take more than two of the GCTWeb classes during the same term? No. You may take two of the GCTWeb courses and receive credit as long as:
- space permits and you receive approval to enroll by the instructor; and
- your departmental advisor has approved this as part of your program of study (if applicable).
Note: EPSY 7110 is the pre-requisite for all other courses in the sequence. You will not be eligible to take EPSY 7060, 7250, or 7230 without EPSY 7110
- How will GCTWeb be scheduled? Go to: http://www.coe.uga.edu/gctweb/schedule-faq/schedule/
- Has GCTWeb been approved by Georgia Professional Standards Commission? Yes. The UGA Program of study has been approved.
- Are all of the courses offered online ? M.Ed and Ed.S classes are offered both online and on-campus.
- Can I just enroll for the courses listed in my letter from the Professional Standards Commission? Students who enroll in a cohort are expected to complete the sequence. We are not able to recommend you for certification unless you complete the entire GCTWeb program of study or complete the comparable courses on campus. However, by fulfilling the requirements stated in your letter, you can apply for certification without our recommendation. Your intentions should be made known when applying to participate in the cohort.
- What will GCTWeb cost? Fees are listed at the following address

Applicants who do not intend to pursue a degree but who wish to take courses for professional advancement, licensure, or certification purposes, and who hold a baccalaureate degree or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution, should apply for non-degree status. Applicants must submit the following to the Office of Graduate Admissions: the general application for admission, a $50 application-processing fee, two official copies of transcripts from the institution which awarded the highest degree, and a statement of purpose. (The statement of purpose should state Educational Psychology Endorsement -Gifted Education)
- Will GCTWeb courses count in my degree program? A student who takes courses as a non-degree may subsequently transfer up to nine hours of credit (i.e. 3 courses) into a graduate degree program at the University of Georgia, subject to the approval of the advisor. Students should note that participation in the GCTWeb program on a non-degree basis does not constitute admission to the master’s degree or any other graduate degree program at the University of Georgia. Further, GCTWeb participation does not assure students that they will subsequently be admitted to a graduate degree program at the University of Georgia.
