AdmissionsAdmissions and Processing of Applications. Please note that students who wish to pursue the Spring 2009 cohort should make sure that an on-line application is begun by asap. Note within your statement that you are interested in pursuing the coursework via the on-line options. The due date for applications is November 15, 2008. If some of the application materials (e.g., on-line letters of recommendation, exam scores, transcript, etc.) will be submitted after this date due to extenuating circumstances, be sure the contact Dr. Hines, mhines@uga.edu to explain. Applications submitted and saved within the system by the due date will receive priority. Transcripts are usually the major hold up. You are especially encouraged to order and have your official transcript sent to UGA graduate admissions as soon as possible, or pick up a sealed official transcript, hand delivering or Fed-exing it to the UGA admissions office. Entrance Exams *.The GRE (Ed.S. or M.Ed.) or MAT (M.Ed. only) are the tests used for admissions of degree seeking students. To take either on-line by appointment, you may contact the University Testing Service at the following sites: http://www.testing.uga.edu/detail/mat.html or contact the testing agencies directly. http://www.uga.edu/gradschool/admissions/requirements.html#testscores To locate a GRE computer-based center near you and schedule an appointment to take the exam, please visit http://maprequest.ets.org/tcenter/index.html. If you haven’ taken an entrance exam within the last five years, please have it completed asap for Spring 2009 degree seeking students. * Note: An entrance exam is not required for non-degree seeking student applications.
