• Review required CITI (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative)
• Discuss IRB Application prep including consent documents, submission, time for approval, etc.
• Learn about Class Project Exemptions

• Learn policies and instructions related to:
• Making incentive payments
• Options for how these payments can be made
• Who can receive these payments

Activities:

• Learn more about the steps to consider when selecting funding sources
• Discuss proposal components, supporting documents, & submission info

Proposal Writing

Monday, October 22 3:00pm – 4:30 p.m. 228 Aderhold Hall

Activities:

• Discuss strategies for preparing a proposal
• Review RFP/RFA (Request for Proposal/Request for Application) section requirements and directions for format, page limits, etc. for various agencies
• Review writing resources available on OVPR site
• Time provided for individual consultations and to make follow-up appointments

• Learn about how to build a budget for a grant or contract
• Learn about University rules and regulations concerning grants and contracts
