She assists undergraduate middle school education majors in planning their program of study. She has been with the College of Education for 33 years. She served as Administrative Coordinator and Teachers Certification Official for the college from 1988 until transferring to the department in 1995. She was recognized for Distinguished Service to Students in the College of Education by the Kappa Delta Epsilon Educational Honor Society in 1993. She was awarded Honorary Membership for dedicated service to the College of Education by Kappa Delta Epsilon in 1996. She was awarded the College of Education Staff Award for Excellence in 1999.
