S3ITE: Secondary Social Studies Information About Teacher Education
Welcome to the S3ITE. This site was designed to serve as a source of information about the secondary social studies teacher education program at the University of Georgia.
Here you’ll find information on program aims and structures, how the program works, and what happens during student teaching. We’ve also included links to other sites with information about teaching and learning in social studies.
Finally, we invite you to add your voice to our discussion forums. Those who have a stake in the program (cooperating teachers, student teachers, program faculty, university field instructors, program alumni etc.) are encouraged to use these forums as a virtual meeting space to share questions, ideas, thoughts, and concerns about social studies education.
