
Thomas C. Reeves, Ph.D.
I currently serve as a Professor for the Department of Educational Psychology and Instructional Technology, and the Coordinator for the Instructional Technology Ph.D. Program. I have developed and evaluated numerous interactive learning programs. In addition to presentations and workshops throughout the USA, I have been an invited speaker in other Countries including Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, England, Finland, Italy, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Taiwan. I am a former Fulbright Scholar, and the founding editor of the Journal of Interactive Learning Research. In 2003, I received the first AACE Fellowship Award from the Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education. I am a co-founder of the Learning and Performance Support Lab, and co-author (with John Hedberg) of Interactive Learning Systems Evaluation. My research interests include: evaluation of instructional technology; cognitive tools and mental models; socially responsible design research; authentic tasks for online learning; and instructional technology in developing countries. My teaching areas include program evaluation, instructional design, and research methods.
