
Shawn Glynn
Shawn Glynn is a Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology and Instructional Technology; he also holds a joint appointment in the Department of Mathematics and Science Education and served as its Interim Head. He teaches graduate courses in the psychology of learning. His area of research is the psychology of learning science. His books in this area include The Psychology of Learning Science and Learning Science in the Schools. His research appears in the Journal of Educational Psychology, Contemporary Educational Psychology, the Journal of Research in Science Teaching, and publications of the National Science Teachers Association such as The Science Teacher. He is on the editorial board of Contemporary Educational Psychology. He regularly serves as principal investigator on projects funded by the U.S. Department of Education. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and has been a Fulbright Senior Research Fellow (Germany), a German Academic Exchange Service Scholar, and a UGA Sarah Moss Fellow (England).
