- The Northeast Health District can work to place volunteers in 10 counties: Barrow, Clarke, Elbert, Greene, Jackson, Madison, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Walton, and in the District Office.
- A variety of volunteer opportunities are available with public health educators and program coordinators (e.g., Tobacco Prevention Coordinator, STD/HIV Coordinator).
- Additional volunteer positions needed in one-day community events such as Adolescent and Youth Development Summits and Resource Fairs.

The FOCUS students assist in teaching hands-on science activities to local elementary school students to increase their science and mathematics achievement. To participate in Project FOCUS, UGA students must be enrolled in AESC 4950 or AESC 4970H. Other options are available.
