The Second Annual Multicultural Conference - March 25, 2006

Alumni Association to host second annual Multicultural Conference, March 25

The Second Annual Multicultural Conference will take place on March 25, 2006 at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education.

The objective of this conference is to provide career advancement training primarily to our Hispanic, African-American, Asian and Indian alums which we will refer to as racially diverse alumni. The conference will not only provide alumni and their families opportunities for networking, but also for educating and inspiring them to achievement in their lives. The Pre-Conference events include options for golf or spa treatments, a tour of campus and a social event on Friday evening.

The conference events, lasting all day Saturday, will focus on career development and personal development strategies, enhancing entrepreneurial skills and providing networking opportunities. This conference is designed to appeal to graduates in all UGA majors. UGA African American Performance Groups will celebrate their anniversaries with a Reunion Concert & Production in Hugh Hodgson Hall at the conference on March 25.

Former members of Pamoja Singers, African American Choral Ensemble, Black Theatrical Ensemble and Pamoja Dancers may contact C. Gail Lewis at pamoja1@uga.edu to perform. Visit the Pamoja Singers website at http://www.uga.edu/pamojasingersreunion/index.html for more information.
