Shopping in Athens is as eclectic as Athens itself from distinctive local shops to large retail chains and just about anything in between.Downtown Athens offers a real taste of of the town with a blend of specialty shops, artist studios, and local icons. Shops such as Native American Gallery, Helix, Wuxtry Records, and The Junkman’s Daughter’s Brother are great places to begin a search for the perfect souvenir. Colonial Beachwood Promenade features local and national retailers including Coldwater Creek, Marshalls, Bath and Body Works, among others. In addition there is a movie theatre and many restaurants.
