Arthur M. Horne

Horne to Serve as Interim Dean of the College of Education

Arthur (Andy) M. Horne, an emeritus professor and internationally known scholar in the University of Georgia College of Education, will serve as interim dean of the college while a national search is conducted to fill the post permanently. Arnett C. Mace Jr., senior vice president for academic affairs and provost, announced that Horne will lead the college on an interim basis after Louis A. Castenell Jr. steps down as dean on Dec. 31. Castenell is leaving the dean’s post after eight years but will remain on the college faculty.


COE Programs Rank Among Top Public Universities in U.S. News' Best Graduate Schools for 2008

The University of Georgia College of Education continues to be ranked among the top public universities in the nation in U.S. News & World Report's 2008 edition of  “America's Best Graduate Schools.”
